Join Ms. Tio for 3 great camp sessions of art and imagination and fun!

Harry Potter Camp (June 17-21, 2024) will be held outdoors in Del Ray, and Art of Italy (July 1-5, 2024) and Painting, Drawing, Sculpture (July 8-12, 2024) will be held indoors in Del Ray. Please pack a lunch for your child. We will have an outdoor recess each day.

To register for camp, please click here to print and complete the Art Camp Registration Form 2024, and then mail it with a $50 non-refundable supply fee deposit to Luisa Tio, P.O. Box 2442, Alexandria, VA, 22301. Please also send four weeks before camp your child’s Emergency Contacts, Health, Media and Walking Field Trip Forms (Summer 2024) and the remaining tuition. Here is a description of this summer’s camps:

Harry Potter, June 17-21, 2024  8:30-12:30  (4 hours)  $315

Leave the muggle world behind and enter Hogwarts!  We will visit Diagon Alley to get our magic wands and other school essentials. We’ll play Quidditch (after we are sorted into houses, of course). We will study all of the magical arts, such as divination, spells, and magic potions and end our camp with a banquet, complete with pumpkin juice and butter beer. Enroll in Hogwarts for a week of art, magic, and fun! Camp takes place outdoors in Del Ray, Alexandria.

Art of Italy July 1-5, 2024 (camp will be held on July 4) 8:30-2:30 (6 hours) $415 (includes field trip)

Andiamo a Italia! We will seek inspiration from the amazing artistic genius of Italian artists like DaVinci and Michelangelo, Titian and Tiepolo.  We will draw, paint, sculpt and invent our way through the week and learn about Italian art, culture, and food. We will learn artistic techniques (and a little art history, too!) We will also take a field trip to the National Gallery to see DaVinci’s only painting in the U.S.! Camp takes place indoors in Del Ray.

Painting, Drawing, Sculpture July 8-12, 2024  8:30-12:30 (6 hours) $415

Do you love to paint, draw and sculpt? This is the camp for you! We will learn important drawing techniques such as perspective and shading. We will experiment with different painting techniques and types of paints like watercolor, tempera, and acrylic. We will create 3D sculptures with different materials. Camp takes place indoors in Del Ray

Registration. To register your artist for camp, please complete the Art Camp Registration Form 2024. Once the registration form is completed, please mail it with a $50 supply fee deposit to Luisa Tio, P.O. Box 2442, Alexandria, VA, 22301. Please complete and send to the same address the forms for Emergency Contacts, Health, Media and Walking Field Trip Forms (Summer 2024) and the remainder of the tuition 30 days preceding camp.

Director and Instructor: Luisa Tio will lead each session. Luisa is a full-time art teacher at Naomi L. Brooks Elementary School and William Ramsay Elementary School in Alexandria with many years of experience teaching art and directing creative camps. She also is an artist herself who loves to create.
